KUCHING : The Chief Executive Officer of Sarawak Energy Berhad, Datuk Torstein Dale Sjotveit is the latest addition to the dynamic line-up of speakers at the upcoming Asia for Animals Conference Borneo 2015 (AfA 2015).
Torstein will be delivering his keynote address entitled “Wildlife monitoring and rescue operation (WiMOR) at Murum HEP” at the conference.
Torstein was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), Malaysia in late 2009.
He steers the fully integrated utility company, responsible for development, generation, transmission, distribution, and retail of electricity, to serve over 570,000 customers throughout the state of Sarawak.
Prior to joining Sarawak Energy, Torstein has served in various heavy industries in Europe.
Under his leadership, Sarawak Energy has achieved a remarkable transformation to become a modern and agile corporation in supporting Sarawak’s economic growth, with equal attention devoted to the conservation of wildlife and natural resources to ensure a continuous, sustainable development.
Described as the largest and most represented animal welfare conference in Asia, AfA 2015 will be held from 6 to 9 October at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching in Kuching.
